Chandrababu Naidu refuses bail

Hyderabad:  Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Chandrababu Naidu  has refused bail and continues to be in detention. He is currently at the Dharmabad ITI institute. He is expected to be produced before the Magistrate and may be sent to Nanded prison.

Naidu was taken into preventive custody with 70 other politicians during his bus yatra on Friday as they tried to visit the Babhali dam in Maharashtra. The TDP Chief and his supporters say Maharashtra is grabbing more than its share of water from the River Godavari.

The TDP chief and his supporters had planned to visit the barrage for an inspection alleging that the barrage is being illegally built by Maharashtra.
